- Make this school year the best one ever. The children
function better throughout the day if they get enough sleep.
- Encourage your child to read. I realize they have many
after school activities, but they should spend some time reading each
day.
- Check your child's assignment pad. We usually have math, English, vocabulary,
and reading Monday through Thursday nights. Try to review the vocabulary,
spelling and definitions, before each test.
- Do not send party invitations to school unless you have one
for everyone. Children's feeling are easily crushed.
- Remind the children that no jewelry is to be worn on gym
days. This is a safety precautions.
- Children get hungry. (So do I!) I always have extra food,
but I insist that they have lunch each day. If they forget their lunch, I'll
find something for them.
- Make time for God. Attend Mass as a family,
and then have a special breakfast or dinner. Your children love to spend
time with you.
- I know you love your children. Hug them, tell them
you love them, and remind them how special they are to you. Remember that I
love your children, too.
- Please laugh each day. It helps to keep
things in perspective and also has added health benefits.
- You may come and visit us any time you wish.
- Check for homework on the net. I can really do this now.
