Pastor
WELCOME
TO SAINT CECILIA’S CATHOLIC SCHOOL!
Wisdom instructs her children and admonishes
those who seek her. He who love her loves life; those who seek her out
win her favor. He who holds
her fast inherits glory; wherever he dwells, the Lord bestows blessings.
Those who serve her serve the Holy One; those who love her, the
Lord loves. (Wisdom 4:11-14)
Welcome to
Saint Cecilia's Catholic School. I am
grateful to Sr. Marie Elise, SCC, our principal and our faculty and
parents who make St. Cecilia's Catholic School a source of great pride
for our parish. By working together well we can give our children the
excellent Catholic education they deserve. This web-site you are
visiting can help us all stay on the same page. As this exciting new
year begins we have countless opportunities to help our children mature
in grace and wisdom before God and all people as they receive the finest
education here at St. Cecilia's Catholic School. This new beginning
marks an opportunity for all of us, administration, teachers, staff and
parents to continue our own growth in knowledge of our vocations, our
responsibilities and our love of the Lord and one another. We are all in
this endeavor together. Our theme for the beginning of the school year
is "Sowing the Seeds of Peace." We strive for academic
excellence and we achieve it. If we strive for peace in our world we
will accomplish this most noble goal and help build the Reign of God. As
the beloved hymn says, "Let peace begin with me." Long ago
Benjamin Franklin penned some practical suggestions on how we should all
strive to get along with others. They provide some good common sense for
us all. The best thing to give your enemy is forgiveness; to an
opponent, tolerance to a friend, your ear; to your child, good example;
to a father, reverence; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud
of your; to yourself, respect; to all people, charity. May the Lord
bless you and your families abundantly throughout this school year. It
is a joy to serve as your pastor and work with you at Saint Cecilia's
School.
In
Christ’s Peace,
Father
John
For it is the part of a truly great man not
merely to be equal to great things, but also to make little things great
by his own power.
